Sun Salutation first introduced the environmentally friendly Bhu Mat in 2005 and we still love it.

Bhu Mat is like a second skin, soft and dry.  It gives excellent grip.  The closed cells prevent bacteria from growing.   It is ideal for most styles of Yoga, Hatha, Sivananda, Bikram, Anusara and Pilates.  Although people and studios all over Europe are using this mat for Ashtanga Yoga, we do not recommend the Bhu Mat for Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. 

It is easy to clean, just wipe with a damp cloth.  If you prefer, the mat can be washed by machine but should be washed at temperatures no higher than 40 degrees, not spun, just left to air dry. 

The Bhu Mat is made from TPE (Thermal Plastic Elastomer).  It contains no latex or PVC.  The Bhu Mat is oeko-Tex 100 Standard.   The Bhu Mat is recyclable and decompostable and the production process environmentally friendly.
